Gotta go to Tallinn again soon.

I’m staring at the asphalt wondering what’s buried underneath where I am on Flickr.
While we all wait for the real fall, take a look at my pic I took 2 falls ago.

So Zach just did a bunnyhop flair (from a little drop). As’ve been said in the end of the video, WHATTA FUCK?!

MARK GARRY, BEING HERE

The installation Being here comprises three essential elements: an intervention made from beads, pins and threads, a carved wood sculpture and mechanical musical mechanisms.

Most visually stunning are the hundreds of tiny threads attached to the walls and floor of the gallery with an elaborate miniature pulley system involving pins and beads. All in parallel, they form a fragile surface winding through the room – at once monumental and barely visible. The colour spectrum transforms in luminescence, tone and color as you move around it. The different tones of natural light entering the room let the work appear to be in constant flux, changing throughout each day and each season turning from vibrant to invisible. Read more about the work here. Mark Garry is based in Dublin.

Being here was a site-specific installation for the exhibition Inner and Outer Space at the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh, PA, April 26, 2008 – January 11, 2009. The Mattress Factory has an amazing permanent exhibition of site-specific artworks, also comprising the results of their annual artist-in-residence program. Impressive are two permanent installations by James Turrell, which will be worth a post of its own.
